Wyatt Wahlgren, Trombone, Tuba, Euphonium

Wyatt Wahlgren is a trombone and euphonium player who has played under the direction of Sharyn Peterson, Kyler Brumbaugh, Brad Hendry, Jacob Scherr, Malcolm Peterson, and many others. He has performed in many Fidalgo and Mt Baker Youth Symphony Concerts, in which he played principal trombone, as well as in Brass Choirs at Sounds of Summer Music Festival, WWU brass ensembles, Starry Night Chamber Concerts, SJMEA Honor Band (2016, 2017), the Junior All-State Band (2014), and the All-State Wind Ensemble (2018).

Teaching Philosophy: I use a blend of Suzuki Method as well as Traditional and Fiddle Styles. I hope to meet each student where they are and build confidence in all areas of practice and performance.

Availability: available Tuesdays and Wednesdays in Bellingham, and Fridays at Salem Lutheran in Mt Vernon.
Teaching Philosophy: I like to guide students toward the approach that suits them best. The ultimate goal is to make the instrument sound good and enjoy playing it. I also like to discuss effective practice strategies to help them reach their goals.
